Snappywords - Games & puzzles - Letter Twist

Letter Twist is a word game similar to Wordle, but with a notable difference. While Wordle requires you to guess just one word, Letter Twist challenges you to solve six words simultaneously, arranged in a 6x6 grid. Three words appear horizontally, and three appear vertically.

At the start of the game, some letters are already in the correct position, while others need to be rearranged. The goal is to move the letters around until all six words are correctly formed. You have a maximum of 15 moves to place the letters in the right positions.

The letters are color-coded as follows:

- Green indicates that the letter is already in the correct position.

- Yellow means the letter is in the word but in the wrong position.

- Letters without color do not belong to the word at all.

To win the game, you must position all the letters so that both the horizontal and vertical words are correct. Strategic thinking is essential, as you only have 15 moves to complete the puzzle.

The game ends when all six words are solved correctly, or you run out of moves.

5 Tips for Playing Letter Twist:

1. Start with the Green Letters

Green letters are already correctly placed. Use these as your starting point to complete the surrounding words. Consider which letters might fit into the word based on the fixed green letters.

2. Focus on the Yellow Letters

Yellow letters are already part of the correct word but in the wrong position. Try placing these letters correctly first, as they give you a clear clue about which words they belong to.

3. Plan Your Moves in Advance

With only 15 moves, think carefully about which letters to swap. Aim to make moves that position multiple letters correctly at once.

4. Work Both Horizontally and Vertically

Remember, you need to solve both horizontal and vertical words. A single letter can affect two words, so it’s important to pay attention to both directions simultaneously.

5. Focus on Common Letters

Frequently used letters like “E,” “A,” or “T” are often needed in multiple words. Focus on placing these letters correctly first, as they can help solve several words at once.
